Teen Idol Clothing was founded in 2005. Founder, Alana Reali, wanted to market items that she would actually wear as opposed to creating a label in an effort to cash in. Richard Doughty joined Reali in 2009, taking an active interest in Reali's products and ideas. The label has retained all of its ideals and has found success in the bare-bones integrity of doing everything on its own. "Every cent we've put into Teen Idol has been [the result of hard work] by the both of us," explains Reali. And a mere five years after its founding, Teen Idol. Every item is a product of the passionate creativity of Alana Reali and Richard Doughty, two young people who, as Reali puts it, "share the same goals and dreams." Reali and Doughty seek to create products that they would actually wear, "We put a lot of thoughts into our clothing instead of just throwing a shirt together to make money," says Reali. This philosophy is what is bringing success to an independent label in a downward economy. Teen Idol products are essentially about the consumer. Instead of cutting corners, the founders do their all to create a product that you will enjoy, and a product that has lasting quality. In the future, they plan to expand the line and stay committed to the quality that is evident in every item that they produce.
